Miami Byblos – beautiful, bold and brilliant.
Introduction to Byblos
The mediterranean décor spoke to me with their lemon themed walls and turquoise tiled cushions. Sitting in a booth fit for a Queen, I was more than excited to settle for the night. Top service was delivered from every angle – smiles, greetings and over welcoming joy for the experience ahead all added to the introduction of Byblos.
Miami Spice Menu
Originally from Toronto, the chef has his eyes on every dish. He even made himself known personally to us only to explain the extensive passion and preparation that goes into some of his favorite dishes. I could not recommend Miami Spice menu higher. Small, varied share plates were provided, enabling a taste of all menu items. My absolute stand outs were the beets, lentil rice, mushroom, salmon tartare, and the main snapper. While the hubby was humming for the lamb rib (infact quote – best lamb I have ever eaten!), the sausage pide, beef main and zucchini flower. Before I knew it, several hours had passed and you wouldn’t have even known.
Lighting was romantic yet I could see my dish. I was crushing on the use of plates and jars for the overhead lighting – so ‘outside the box’, and eye catching. Happy faces filtered in and out of the restaurant all evening, considering we caught them on their fifth week, it was a treat to experience the restaurant in its sparklingly new beauty.
Byblos will now be my main excuse to come to Miami – nothing you could order or experience could possibly disappoint. If you miss this one, you haven’t fully experienced Miami!
