Caitlin’s Top 5 NY Health Tips

We all have experienced how hard it is to stay green and fit in the big city. Here, Caitlin shares her top tips on how she keeps it clean, energetic and happening even when you just don’t feel it!

​1. WALK EVERYWHERE

There’s so much to explore, and just a quick walk around the block is enough to reinvigorate your body if you’ve been sitting inside and working. Serious mood and energy booster.

2. FARMERS MARKETS

Know your farmer’s markets and the people who work at your favorite market. Frank the fish guy at Citarella seriously knows his stuff and makes great recommendations based on what is best. 

3. FIND WHAT YOU LIKE

Find a workout you love. If you like going to a place, and you feel joyful when you leave – you want to bottle that feeling up! If you love it, it becomes a part of your lifestyle, and it keeps you happy, healthy, and whole.

4. MAKE HOME, YOUR HAVEN

Make home a happy space. I am neurotic about things being in their place because it helps me feel mentally settled when I finally get home after running around all day. I will even hide my clutter in a decorative basket until I am ready for it, because it can mess with your mental well being that much.

5. SPREAD THE LOVE

Share your days with people you love. I have an amazing and inspiring group of friends in New York that generally elevate everything they touch. They’re smart and together and hilarious, and I am grateful everyday to call them friends. That infusion of gratitude is enough to keep ANYBODY healthy.
