#Hibernation is always a good idea with a book

There are always shows to be binge-watched on Netflix, happy hours to go to after a long work day but there are also books. I know sorry to go all Belle from Beauty and Beast on you but there are so many books that we would never have the time to read the rest of the year.

Summer, spring, and fall all offer infinite wanderlusts of festivals, rooftops, and beaches. This winter, be productive and catch up on all those books that keep getting suggested to you on Amazon. Prime them all to your house.  Winter is for staying in and waiting for spring.

Introducing my favorite winter book!

By Emma Straub

292 pages. Riverhead Books. $26.95.

This is a story of the sides of ourselves that we choose to show and those we try to conceal, of the ways we tear each other down and build each other up again and the bonds that ultimately hold us together. With wry humor and tremendous heart, Emma Straub delivers a richly satisfying story of a family in the midst of a maelstrom of change, emerging irrevocably altered yet whole. (Via Amazon)

Notable passage:
“Life would be so much more interesting if one could ask all the questions one wanted to and expect honest answers.”

Think of being warm and wrapped up in blankets and maybe just this once send that “I think I’ll stay in tonight” text.
