Take a stand against pumpkin-spice everything with these important facts you must know about chai.
If you’re a cafe connoisseur like me, primarily you would know that chai means tea in Hinidi. But in the West it refers specifically to spiced Indian-style tea – that is, tea with traditional Indian spices and milk.
It is a drink made from some of the world’s most medicinally active herbs. There are thousands of chai recipes – many of which come from India – but the basic components of chai include black tea, cinnamon, ginger, clove, cardamom and black pepper.
While each of these ingredients has its own powerful health benefits, their synergy creates a potent tea that may help support digestion, prevent cancer, lower blood sugar and promote cardiovascular health.
Shakes are so terrific for breakfast as we are BREAKING our FAST with easily digestible and full of nutrition goodness.
